I am a fourth-generation Arizonan who has been building websites since the late 1980s when the commercial internet was just beginning. I learned web architecture the right way — from the ground up, by hand, in an era before page builders existed. I have watched every trend, every platform, and every shortcut come and go for over thirty years. WordPress. Joomla. Flash. Wix. Squarespace. I have watched them all promise to democratize web design and watched every one of them produce a generation of websites that look similar, rank poorly, and require ongoing payments to agencies who do not understand why they are not working.
What has never changed is the foundation: clean semantic code, structured content, correct technical SEO architecture, and content that is true to the business it represents. That is what I build. Every time. For every client.
A Personal Note on ADA
I have been an ADA advocate for over 45 years. I have watched the internet grow from a research network into the central infrastructure of modern commerce, education, healthcare, and civic life — and I have watched it remain largely inaccessible to the blind and visually impaired for most of that time.
That is not acceptable. The blind and visually impaired have the same legal right to access the internet as every other American. They have the same right to read your service page, submit your contact form, navigate your website, and do business with you. Building that access into every website I create is not compliance theater — it is a fundamental obligation that I take personally.
I am now personally experiencing vision challenges. I know firsthand what it means to encounter a website that was not built for someone like me. Every site I build, I build for the person who needs a screen reader to read it — because they deserve to be there too, and because the law says they must be.
